What an incredible experience to present to the Grade 11 Kearsney College pupils on personal and business branding and then brief them on creating a House and Class Brand for 2026.

I presented at the Highbury Preparatory School Business networking breakfast. It was a fun, engaging morning as I witnessed the joy of people realising that their business has a purpose far greater than the service or product they offer.

The development of a brand starts with your purpose, values, identifying your differentials and attributes, and then requires you to work on your personality and expression, which you constantly need to reflect on and refresh.

In November 2025, I got to present to the students and athletes at Durban Christian Residence on how developing and consistently living out a personal brand brings clarity and peace to your life. I went through how to establish a personal brand and left them with questions to work on in their own time.

Is it just me, or do the faults that bug us most about ourselves end up being the ones we’re hardest on our children for? My phone plays a far bigger role in my life than it should, and I try justify it by convincing myself that I answer work WhatsApp’s, emails, do my banking, load social media posts, listen to podcasts and music...

Do Induction Programmes Work? Can we shake things up? It's been years since I attended one, but all I remember is receiving an overwhelming amount of information by people I didn't get to know any better during the programme.
